>昨日のプリントの英作文練習に挑戦してみましたので、誰も挑戦しなかったという事

>態は免れました。おそらくいろいろ間違っていることとは思いますが、とりあえず・

　deep →　depth　、主語を逆（オウムガイ化石）にした方がいい。

>・When we saw an outcrop at first, we could see the lava of andesite.

　lava of andesiteとはいわない。andesitic lava (flow)

　could　→　can　露頭が消滅したなら過去形でいいけど。

>・この地域では丘陵のてっぺんに石灰岩が並んでいる。

>・In this area, there is a band of limestone at the top of hill.

　まあそれでもいいのですが、continuouslyを使ってみては？

>・この急な崖は断層で形成されたのだと思います。

>・The steep cliff seems to be formed in the fault. (in? by? or another word?)

　→　caused(originated) by a fault.　どうかな。あまり良い訳ではないか。

>・ここでみられる地層は、中新世の陸上火山から運ばれてきた堆積物です。

>・The sterata which can be seen here is deposit from continental volcano in the miocene.

　大陸の火山ではないと思うが。This formation, distributed around here, is a product of land volcano in the period of miocene.

こんなかんじ。

>・シンガトカ川の河岸段丘堆積物のレキは、現在の川原のものと岩石種構成が同じである。

>・The terrace deposit, especially conglomerate, in Singatoka river is the

>same kind of rock formation as present congiomerate which is on the river

　The assemblage of pebbles in the terrace deposits along the Sigatoka River is very similar to those of recent river floor.

　This stone contains pyrite, which is formed during hydrothermal alteration.　まるっきり論文英語調で悪いのですが。

>・川原の石には深成岩があり、上流には侵食が進んだ地域があると推定される。

>・Some of rocks which are on the river side is plitonic rocks, so there

>seems to be a eroded area in upper river.

　We can see plutonic rocks in the pebbles at the river shore, it suggest that there are highly eroded area upper the river.

　僕の英語力は信用しないでくださいね。でも、たぶんこのような言い方で地質の同業者には通じるはずです。参考になれば。
